Parking Permits

Main Campus: All classes held on the main campus (every building except 99) will require a $2.00 one-day parking pass that can be purchased from the parking pay stations in either the East or South parking lot (see Highline Campus Map for details). Weekend parking is free.

Building 99: After 4pm, students can park in the building 99 parking lot for free. Before 4pm, students must park in the East/South/North parking lot and pay $2.00 for the one-day parking pass.

Bus Routes to Highline

King County Metro provides public transit service to the college that includes on-campus bus stops. You can purchase bus fare with cash or with an ORCA Card

 RapidRide A Line

The A Line has 50 stations and stops. A station near Highline College provides connections to buses serving Kent, Des Moines, and Burien. The S. 176th Street station near Sea-Tac International Airport provides connections to Link light rail and buses that serve Pierce County, Auburn, Kent, and Burien.

How To Enroll

There are several ways to get enrolled and pay for your class. Listed below are our methods, we look forward to hearing from you. Still have questions? Feel free to visit us! We can assist you with your registration while you are here, show you the campus and will answer any questions you might have.

  • Online

    If you have already selected the course you want to take, simply select the REGISTER NOW! button to fill out the online application. 
  • By Telephone

    Registration and information office: 206-592-3785.

    We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover only over the phone. Feel free to contact us during office hours and have your credit card number ready along with the information of the courses you would like to take.
  • By Fax

    Fax the Continuing Education registration form and credit card information to 206-592-5929.
    We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover.  


Payment secures your registration. We cannot officially register you for a class without contact information and payment. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover cards, as well as checks, money orders and cash. Please make all checks payable to Highline College. If your credit card is declined you will be dropped from the class and your seat will be forfeited. A fee is assessed for returned checks.

Underage Students

Children under the age of 16 that want to register for a course must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is also registered and will be in attendance at all class sessions with them.  Prior approval is required from both the instructor and program manager.  To make a request, please call 206-592-3785.

Cancellation and Refund Policy


We reserve the right to cancel and/or reschedule courses when absolutely necessary.  Continuing Education is strictly student supported by course fees; therefore we must establish a minimum enrollment and cancel courses that do not reach that minimum. That decision is typically determined 24 to 48 hours before class is scheduled to start.

If your course is cancelled by our department you may transfer to another course. If you do not transfer to another course, you will receive a full refund, usually within 10 business days. If you paid by cash or check, you will receive a refund check in the mail. If you paid by Visa, MasterCard, Discover, debit or credit card you will see a credit on your next statement.

In the event your class is cancelled, our department will make every effort to contact you. Be sure that your contact information with daytime phone numbers is complete and up to date on your registration.

Refund Policies

  • Classes cancelled by Continuing Education at anytime - 100% refund
  • Student withdrawal 48 hours prior to first class session - 100% refund
  • Student withdrawal LESS than 48 hours prior to first class - NO REFUND
  • Student withdrawal after class begins or no appearance in class - NO REFUND

Clock Hours for K-12 and Continuing Education Units (CEUs)

K-12 Clock Hours

Approved by the OSPI (Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction), clock hours are a great opportunity for personal/professional growth. Clock hours must be requested in advance and pay an additional $20.00 administrative charge per course or item number. For more information, call 206-592-3785.


A Continuing Education Unit (CEU) is a measure used in continuing education programs, particularly those required in a licensed profession in order for the professional to maintain the license. Examples of people who need CEUs include: teachers, interior designers/interior architects, lighting designers, architects, engineers, educators, nurses, mental health professionals, and social workers. Students interested in receiving CEUs for a course must request CEUs in advance and pay an additional $20.00 administrative charge per course or item number. For more information, call 206-592-3785.
