TOEFL
Highline Community College, through Continuing Education and the Welcome Back Center, offers a ten week hybrid TOEFL preparation course. We meet once a week, face to face. Students are responsible for writing assignments and additional reading homework outside of class. We are offering a two part study plan to allow for more guided practice. Along with test-specific skills and strategies, students will have the opportunity to increase vocabulary and reinforce grammar. We do not teach grammar as students are expected to have previously studied English formally or informally. Medical professionals, university bound students and any others who need to take the TOEFL to achieve their personal and professional goals are ideal candidates for these programs. The course is split into two sections: TOEFL Study Plan A- Fall & Spring, TOEFL Study Plan B- Winter & Summer. Taking both sections is highly encouraged and may be taken in any order. Each section is a separate fee. Please contact Nicole Scoggins by email at: nscoggins@highline.edu if you have any questions.
